ARO11: Battle site and medieval settlement, the enigma of Yarrowford/Philiphaugh, Selkirk.

Archaeological investigations at Philiphaugh/Yarrowford on the outskirts of Selkirk discovered a hitherto unknown small late medieval and post-medieval farming settlement. The radiocarbon dates confirm activity in the period 1472 -1645. This archaeological work was corroborated by new documentary research into the history of the area.
