Archaeological work carried out by GUARD Archaeology Ltd at Croftside Farm, Stirling revealed a well-constructed road that led to Bannockburn House. Either side of this, post-medieval rig and furrow was evident as were pits indicating transient Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze Age and post-medieval activity in the landscape.
